Hats For Hope Day/Spirit Day

Parents!  September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Tattnall has been asked to support Jay's Hope Organization and honor tenth grade student, Abby Wilson, by wearing hats.  Students will be allowed to wear a hat by donating $1.00 on Friday.  This will also be a Spirit Day.  Students are encouraged to wear Tattnall t-shirts, jerseys, or colors to support our fall athletic teams.  Show your true colors!

TSA Is Now Wireless!

We are so excited Tattnall has entered the 21st century!  Knowledge is everywhere!  Due to the efforts of Trojan Legion and a school-obtained grant, we have been able to incorporate wifi into the classroom.  As with any new tool, finding the best way to utilize this technology will be a work in progress.  Right now, the students are allowed to BYOT (bring your own technology).  Fifth grade has had fun searching the web using Nooks, I-phones, I-Pads, I-Pods, and other tablets to find prefix and suffix roots.  Students turn their devices into their teacher until required.  The possibilities are endless!

White shirt (no words or designs)
Bandana around their neck (any color is fine)
2nd, 3rd & 5th graders in music class (not band) will need a cowboy hat – any color is fine. The hat will be used as a prop during a song.
Cowboy boots are permitted – but not required

Parent Conference Day - September 11, 2013

Wednesday, September 11th, is a half day for students.  We will dismiss at 11:45 a.m. Beginning at 1:00, we will be available to meet with parents who would like to have a conference.  We meet together as a team because we both teach your child.  If you would like to schedule a conference, please send us an email stating the time you would be available.  Your email will be answered confirming your time.  Our year has started wonderfully well, and this gives us an opportunity to share the progress your child has made.

**If we do not hear from you, we will assume that you do not wish to have a conference at this time.
